Our Purpose
Women with Purpose is an organization that empowers, educates and advances women of color through professional development seminars, empowerment workshops and networking events. WWP creates a safe, inclusive and inspiring tribe of diverse women who lead authentically, strive to become a better version of themselves and empower one another. Our mission is to offer unparalleled skill-building opportunities and resources to equip women with the essential tools to advance personally and professionally.
How We Do It?
By creating a forum, which is at the nexus of human capital, financial capital and social capital.
It’s no secret that less than 1% of Fortune 500 companies have CEOs that are Women of Color and Women of color hold less than 5% of Fortune 500 Board positions. We know that capacity building, resources and a network can help break down these barriers.
Often the only woman and woman of color in the room, our Founder and CEO Kettianne attended many professional networking events and noticed a serious lack of diversity not only in the attendees but also in the representation of the female speakers and panelists. How can you become what you do not see? While companies claim that there is a limit in black and brown talent, Kettianne was motivated to create a forum for women to seek opportunities, skills and resources to help advance women in their careers. Founded in 2014, Women With Purpose started as a way to create an empowering forum for women of color to not only obtain the professional development skills to succeed but also to further empower these women by featuring women of color in high ranking positions.
In helping women of color advance their professional careers, we also believe that we’re helping companies increase productivity and improve their own brand and reputation.

Kettianne Cadet
Founder & CEO
Kettianne is the Founder and CEO of Women with Purpose (WWP). An international affairs professional with a passion for learning about new cultures, Kettianne has lived abroad in France, the United Kingdom, in Spain and in Haiti and has traveled to over 30 countries.
Jessica Pires
Chief Operating Officer
Jessica is passionate about bringing people together as an event planner and fundraiser. She is also a fiercely organized color-coder. In her role as Chief Operating Officer, Jessica strategizes and develops event content while also managing our speaker outreach and onboarding as well as overseeing all operations and logistics.
Lauren Platero
Marketing Specialist
Lauren is a digital marketing professional with a passion for creativity and social media. Her love for business and communications has led her to a career where she develops unique strategies and supports the voice of brands across various industries.
